I've compiled a wordlist, cyclone_hk.txt, for our hashkiller members.

This wordlist has been compiled from several dozen public wordlists / leaks such as hashkiller (jan 2020), hashes.org, crackstation, weakpass, etc, and does not contain any private wordlists / leaks.

This wordlist has been compiled, cleaned, sorted by probability, deduped, and the top 250 million plaintext (257,823,993 lines, 2.6gb) saved to cyclone_hk.txt. This method of wordlist generation is more efficient when cracking compared to running large, multi-gigabyte wordlists that are sorted alphabetically, especially when cracking slow algos or using large rulesets.

While there's no "best wordlist", cyclone_hk.txt has proven to be an effective wordlist in my testing.

Feel free to test cyclone_hk.txt with your hash list + rules and report your findings on this thread.

Enjoy.

PS
I have not included a test set for cyclone_hk like I did on Hashcat Rules Comparison due to cyclone_hk wordlist contains about 98% of the stockx plaintext which gives it an unfair advantage.

does it contain numeric or have they ben stripped ?
The plaintext in cyclone_hk.txt are not stripped.
Only junk was cleaned from the original wordlists (hashes like md5, bcrypt, etc, long html code, etc).

It's time for a new, updated cyclone_hk wordlist.

"cyclone_hk_v2" aka "V2" supersedes "cyclone_hk" as V2 includes all the plains from the original cyclone_hk.

V2 has been compiled from dozens of public wordlists / leaks such as hashkiller (jan 2020), hashes.org (2020), crackstation, facebook names, weakpass, etc, and now includes over 2.5GB of plains from Hashmob.

V2 has been compiled, cleaned, deduped and sorted by probability.

Please test V2 and report your findings.

All credits go to the original wordlist creators.

Enjoy,

Testing:

Test set is a combination of 50% plains from several dozen sources (dubsmash, stockx, poshmark, etc) + 50% mangled plains using various cyclone.rules.
All plains are 9+ char len and include at least 1 upper, lower & digit.
Test set was narrowed down from 100M to 1M by the following command:
Code:
shuf test_100m.txt | rg '[a-zA-Z0-9]{9,}' | head -n 1000000 > test_plains.txt
Test set md5 hashes: https://anonfiles.com/Gca9pb16y6/test_md5_hash_7z

FYI

A bug was found in the scripting that caused V2 to be improperly sorted. This caused less efficiency in the probability order of the wordlist.
V2 has been reprocessed & uploaded, so please redownload cyclone_hk_v2.txt on the github link provided in my previous post above.
